Volgograd public charitable organization "Jewish communal center" won the grant on the projects promoting development

In 2006 the Administration of the President of Russia has announced a competition among noncommercial organizations on allocation of grants for projects promoting development of civic society in the country.
Organizations from Volgograd region provided more than forty projects which quality was estimated by governmental authorities at local, regional and national level.
The project "We are together", presented by Volgograd public charitable organization "Jewish communal center" was announced winner in a nomination "Assistance to preservation and consolidation of public peace and consent in a society, formation of tolerant consciousness and intolerance to displays of xenophobia and extremism" and received the presidential grant.
"The Jewish community is always glad to receive financial support, but recognition of our constructive activity as the center promoting development of a civic society in the country is much more valuable for us", said Yael Ioffe, chairman of the communal center council.
