Turkey Back on the Map of Israeli Tourism

Turkey Back on the Map of Israeli Tourism

Recently, it seemed that the political tension between Turkey and Israel after the "Cast lead" operation in Gaza eliminated Turkey as a competitor to the Israeli tourism industry. But Turkish Prime Minister Taip Erdagan quickly tempered his tone, having realized that he had gone too far in terms of solidarity with the "Palestinian brothers," and that this solidarity was beginning to hurt the Turkish economic interests.
After a few weeks the relations returned to the previous level, and the Israelis again bring their money to the owners of Turkish hotels and places of amusement and recreation.
Starting from the night on Monday, 27 flights will depart from the Israeli international airport "Ben-Gurion" for Turkey within 48 hours, more precisely, they are heading towards the Turkish resort of Antalya.
Travel agents report an unprecedented number of orders for holidays in Antalya, which is extremely popular among Israelis because of its low cost and opportunities to gain "all thirty-three pleasures" for little money.
Agents say that Antalya has no alternative - either in price or in quality. A similar holiday in Eilat is a lot more expensive.
Therefore, the Israelis do not have the slightest desire to boycott Turkey and its resorts.
Nevertheless, despite the outflow of Turkish fans, Israeli zimmer hotels are full, and during the Pesach week, it was difficult to find a free room without pre-ordering.
