Ancient Gravestone Found

During the construction work in Pinsk, a 100-year-old tombstone with an
inscription in Hebrew was found.
As explained the Chairman of the Jewish community of Pinsk Joseph Lieberman, the
stone was found by the workers during construction at the site of the former
Jewish cemetery.
"The stone is huge, it weighs around 500 kilograms, - told J. Lieberman. -
The inscription is not clear, so far we have only found out that the gravestone
is approximately 100 years old".
There have been several such findings in Pinsk recently. According to the
chairman of the community, this is the second large tombstone, and there
were four small ones.
"Big gravestones have been already mounted at the Jewish cemetery, and the small
ones lie outside the synagogue, - I. Lieberman explained. - In the near future
they will also be installed at the cemetery."
