                  09.12.2002

The president of Turkmenistan, Saparmurat Niyazov, has suggested the government of Israel taking part in realization of the largest project of laying a gas-main from Turkmenistan to Pakistan. The gas main, which general length will make 1.400 kms, will start from the natural gas deposit in the center of Turkmenistan and pass through Afghanistan to the Pakistan city of Multan. It is supposed that joint American-Saudi oil company "Delta" will also take part in realization of the project.
The information has been transferred through the Israeli businessman, Josef Majmona, who has already carried out a number of various projects in Turkmenistan, in particular in the field of constructing petrol-cleaning factories on coasts of Caspian sea, creating hothouses and dairy farms and also in constructing the magnificent park around the presidential palace. On capacity of the deposits of natural gas Turkmenistan occupies the fifth place in the world.
