Jonathan Markovich visited a prison for women in Kiev.
10.04.2003 Rabbi Jonathan Markovich, the representative of the Federation of the CIS Jewish communities in Kiev, visited a prison for women. He was surprised to have learnt that along with twenty Jewish women serving their sentences, there were three little children in the prison. Following the mothers' consent, Rabbi Markovich will take the children to the Federation's orphanages. The children will stay there till decent conditions are created for them.
